My Disney Vacation Club purchases were all resale purchases. Why buy resale instead of directly through Disney? The reason is simple – saving money. Purchasing DVC points directly through Disney is more expensive. On my most recent DVC purchase, the add on price at the older Disney Vacation Club resort we purchased was $130 per point. We paid $77 per point through the resale agency. Even with closing costs, that is quite a savings!
