As of Wednesday, February 25th, Disney Vacation Club owners who own points at resorts other than Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows can now being making reservations at the resort. As with all DVC properties, members may make reservations at resorts other than their home resort seven months prior to arrival. With the opening of Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows scheduled for April 1, this means members can make reservations for dates beginning April 1st through seven months from today, or through September 27th.
Although reportedly there were some hiccups in the online booking process at DVCMember.com, over the last few days these issues seem to have been worked out. I was able to book a Studio with no problem yesterday. I have to say I have been surprised with the availability still out there, especially during the high season months. For example, the month of April is still fully available right now for the studios. I do see that a few dates in September are sold out. I imagine members are taking advantage of the great point values during that time to stay at the new resort. And I anticipate a big rush on bookings when the first two weeks of December open, one of the highest booking times for DVC resorts at Disneyworld.
