Disney Vacation Club Old Key West Price History

Disney Vacation Club Old Key West Price History

Ever wondered about the pricing history of the first Disney Vacation Club property? Disney Vacation Club’s current direct pricing at time of this post for Disney’s Old Key West Resort is $135 per point.

The Disney Vacation Club (DVC), Disney’s approach to vacation ownership programs was created in 1991 by Disney Vacation Development, Inc., a subsidiary of the Walt Disney Company. The Disney Vacation Club program began in December of 1991 when with the opening of The Old Key West Resort at the Walt Disney World Resort. It opened on December 20, 1991 and was called Disney’s Vacation Club Resort. Of course there was only the one DVC property at that time, but it was later renamed Disney’s Old Key West Resort in January 1996.

Sharket Timeshare Market Research, an independent analyst in the timeshare resort business, announced Disney Saratoga Springs as the #1 Timeshare Resort for resales. Their research indicates that Disney Vacation Club’s Saratoga Springs Resort offers the highest resale value of any timeshare resort included in their data. And not surprisingly to Disney Vacation Club member, DVC resorts accounted for eight out of the top ten timeshare resorts. Those resorts were Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, Disney’s Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort ,Disney’s Old Key West Resort , Disney’s Boardwalk Villas, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas , Disney’s Beach Club Villas and Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.

Posted on DVCMember.com is a great video tour of the Deluxe Studio at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. I can’t wait to stay here! I’ve always been a fan of the Polynesian and being able to stay here as a DVC member in a brand new studio is very exciting. I’m hoping to get reservations for this December, but I have friends who will be staying in a lake view Studio this May. I look forward to seeing their pictures and hearing all about it.
