DVC Great Moments with Walt Disney Tour Extended

DVC Great Moments with Walt Disney Tour Extended

I was able to attend Disney Vacation Club’s “Great Moments with Walt Disney” touring show earlier this year in Chicago at the Museum of Science and Industry. It was an interesting show, although I did find it a bit too long. I will caveat that with the comment that I am not as big of a Disney history buff as many other DVC members. My favorite moments of the presentation were actually the time I spent chatting with fellow DVC members. The Disney Vacation Club members that sat next to me int he theater had been members since DVC started and had some fantastic tips and experience to share. So be sure to check out the shows if they are begin presented in a city near you.

Members’ enthusiastic response to spring performances of Disney Vacation Club’s “Great Moments with Walt Disney” touring show has prompted a fall extension as part of Membership Magic!

Hosted by Disney historian and author Tim O’Day with Disney Files Magazine Editor Ryan March, this lighthearted, 90-minute show for Members and their Guests features an array of Walt’s rarely seen—or heard—appearances. These entertaining clips include his television hosting duties in the 1950s and 1960s that transformed him into a recognized celebrity, in addition to some of the more spontaneous moments that intimately capture the colorful character of the man behind the legend.

As Tim told us at the start of the spring tour, “This is ‘Uncle Walt’ at his best, the way many people remember him, with more than a few sneak peeks behind the magic. The show will playfully illustrate that the person fans enjoyed on TV was pretty much the same Walt Disney you might encounter in person.”

Disney Vacation Club has scheduled November and December tour stops in 7 additional U.S. cities home to large numbers of Members—Miami, Houston, New Orleans, Seattle, San Francisco, Indianapolis and New York’s Long Island—as well as a special performance at the Walt Disney World Resort.
