I have found the cast members with Disney Vacation Club member services to be overwhelming pleasant and very helpful in all of my interactions. Literally ALL. And I do not say that lightly. After purchasing our membership, especially on the resale market, I for some reason expected to not be as thrilled with the DVC experience after purchase. Thank goodness this has not been the case!
One suggestion I have for improvement, though, is in wait times for DVC Member Services. During high booking times, I have had to wait over 30 minutes to speak with an agent. And as much as this gal loves to listen to Disney’s hold music, that length of time is a bit much. I was happy to see the resent posting addressing this issues, including suggestions for reducing wait times.
Reduce your wait time: No one enjoys waiting in lines, especially when they are long. To avoid long wait times, try calling Tuesday through Friday during the afternoon hours. These times tend to be less busy for Member Services, which could mean shorter wait times for you! Did you know that Member Services is also open on the weekends from 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. ET? Many times you will find a shorter wait time by calling then as well.
I’ve started following these suggestions and have experienced shorter waiting times. That being said, I do always use the DVCMember.com website and only call when I can’t do what I need to online.
