DVC Wilderness Lodge Cabins Coming Soon

DVC Wilderness Lodge Cabins Coming Soon

For almost a year now, there have been rumors about Disney Vacation Club expanding the villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. These rumors were confirmed last week when it was announced that Disney has filed a permit with the South Florida Water Management District to construct 26 lakeside cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.

Familiar to those who have seen the bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Report, these Disney Vacation Club villas will be waterfront one-story free-standing cabins situated on the shores of Bak Lake. According the the blueprints, there will be 26 cabins with twelve of them facing directly towards the Magic Kingdom. The fireworks views from these cabins should be fantastic!

New Fold Down Sleeper in Studio at The Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

With the addition of a fold-down sleeper in all deluxe studio villas at The Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, these studios can now accommodate five people. This update was part of the overall renovation to The Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. Have you seen the pictures? The updates look lovely. I stayed in a studio at the Widerness Lodge in May of 2013 and commented that the soft goods especially, could use an update. I’m just not a fan of the quilted bedspreads these days.

Pool hopping allows DVC members to use the pools at other Walt Disney World resorts while staying on property. My family and I have enjoyed visiting the pools at other resorts and becoming a connoisseur of the different waterslides. It is lots of fun to try them all out. Here are the program guidelines from Disney Vacation Club when you are looking to pool hop.
